Herzlich willkommen bei der digitalisierten Portraitsammlung des StadtMuseum Bonn.
Mit Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit, d. h. mit der Absicht, auch sämtliche Neuerwerbungen möglichst schnell digitalisiert online zu stellen, stellt das StadtMuseum Bonn seine Portraitsammlung vor, wobei es sich zum größeren Teil um Druckgrafik handelt, die wiederum mehrheitlich aus der Zeit vor 1900 stammt. Von allen präsentierten Portraits können über die Funktionstaste „Bestellung“ druckfähige Digitalisate beim StadtMuseum Bonn bestellt werden.
Die Bearbeitung des Sammlungsbestandes für die Online-Präsentation übernahm Dr. Sigrid Lange, Bonn.
Die Benutzung der Portraitdatenbank ist denkbar einfach, da man sowohl direkt nach einem Portraitierten wie nach einem Künstler suchen kann wie unter dem „allgemeinen“ Suchbefehl z. B. nach Bezeichnungen wie „Kurfürst“, „Komponist“ etc.

Welcome to the digitised collection of portraits of the Bonn Municipal Museum.
The Bonn Municipal Museum is pleased to present its collection of portraits, consisting for the most part of graphic reproductions most of which, in turn, originate from the time before 1900, with a claim to completeness, that is, with the intention of making available online even the latest acquisitions in digitised form as far as possible. Printable digital reproductions of all portraits presented can be ordered from the Bonn Municipal Museum via function key “Bestellung [Order]”.
Dr Sigrid Lange, Bonn, has carried out the processing of the collection holdings for online presentation as a freelance research assistant since 2010 and made all entries until 2017, that is, including any acquisitions by the Bonn Municipal Museum up until 31.12.2017.
The processing of all acquisitions from the beginning of 2018 until the end of 2020 for availability in the online database was carried out by Pia Weimert, MA, again as a freelance research assistant.
Using the portrait database is very simple, as you can both search for a portrayed person or an artist directly and, under the “general” search command, also for designations such as “Kurfürst [Elector]”, “Komponist [Composer]”, etc.
